In Gomtinagar area of Lucknow, a young man was committing robbery with his friend and girlfriend. Police arrested all three on Tuesday night. All three were living in a rented room in Vinyakhand area for a month. DCP East Ashish Srivastava said that incidents of robbery were taking place continuously in Gomtinagar area in the past days. Several police teams were deployed to search for the robbers.
Footage of robbers riding Apache bikes was found from CCTV cameras. Late on Tuesday night, Gomtinagar police caught two youths and a girl riding on the said Apache bike near Dayal intersection. During the search, three looted mobile phones, a purse and Rs 755 were found from them. During interrogation, the accused revealed their names as Bhavanrkol Sonadi Shivam Rai, Khushi Khatoon of Ghazipur and Himanshu Yadav, resident of Baresar Rega. Shivam and Khushi are lovers.

Room rented without verification, action will be taken
DCP said that the three arrested accused were living on rent in the house of Prabhat Tiwari, resident of Vinyakhand, Gomtinagar for the last one month. Investigation revealed that the landlord had given his house on rent to the accused without verification. In this case, action will be taken against the landlord under 188 CrPC.
Was robbing his girlfriend to marry him
There are already cases of robbery registered against Shivam and Himanshu in Ghazipur district. Police say that when the family members protested after knowing about Khushi’s friendship with Shivam, both of them left the house and started living separately. When Khushi’s father filed a case, Khushi gave a statement in favor of Shivam in the court and expressed her desire to live with him. After this, Khushi’s family broke relations with her. Both of them stayed together in Ghazipur for some days and then came to Lucknow for the purpose of marriage. After this Shivam called his friend Himanshu and started looting here.
